LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE

MMBBA is the voice of the mortgage banking industry in Maryland. We work to clarify issues, preserve policies and to protect the interests of our members by staying in close communication with state and local officials and regulatory bodies, as well as the general public.  We speak with a single voice and take a stance on important issues facing our industry.  Our Legislative Committee works diligently during the Maryland Legislative Session. We provide critical testimony on bills affecting our industry and serve as a resource to legislators in Annapolis.

Political Action COMMITTEE

The MMBBA Political Action Committee (PAC) is a voluntary, non-partisan committee that directly represents the interests of the real estate finance industry in the State of Maryland’s political system.   It is the industry’s voice for helping to elect legislative candidates who understand and have concern about our views relevant to current and proposed legislation at the state level.  Our elected officials decide on important issues that impact our industry.  It is critical that our voice be heard.  To make a PAC Donation, please visit this site.  To mail in a donation check, please use this form.

YOUNG MORTGAGE PROFESSIONAL COMMITTEE

The Young Mortgage Professionals are a group of emerging leaders who enjoy networking, connecting and growing with others in the mortgage industry.  The YMP's plan events that are focused on those that are newer to the mortgage industry and incorporate industry veterans to help them grow and learn.  Some of the past events that the YMP's have planned are happy hours, casino night and a boat cruise.
